COMMUNITY SAFETY
Please obey all stop signs and speed limits within the community. The speed limt throughout the Hills is 25 MPH. Stop signs are posted to protect our children. The Board of Directors has asked the City of Centennial for police patrols to specifically watch for speeders and drivers who run stop signs. Don't be the one who gets a ticket!! SLOW DOWN AND STOP!
Just a reminder that the City of Centennial and Arapahoe County have passed laws making it illegal to ride “go-peds” and other similar devices on city/county streets and sidewalks. This includes the streets and sidewalks within The Hills at Piney Creek.
In one of our Richmond built homes here in the Hills, a large vanity mirror recently fell off the wall and shattered. Luckily, no one was injured. The home was built in 1994. All the mirrors that were builder installed in our homes are apparently only held to the walls by an adhesive, which apparently dries out over time. It is advised that all homeowners check their vanity mirrors and consider installing some support brackets to reinforce the mirror to the wall.
There has been a series of crimes in our area where people have entered homes through open garage doors. They have stolen keys for cars in the garage and purses and other valuables from the house. KEEP YOUR GARAGE DOORS CLOSED AND LOCKED. It is also a good idea to keep the garage door to your home locked. Also, watch in the neighborhood for strangers or persons who appear suspicious and report them to the Centennial Police/Sheriff's Office.
